First of all our greetings and thanks for what we, the Tunisians arrived in Paris from Lampedusa, got from you as a support and welcome, and furthermore what we got from batons and insults of the police.
Mr Paris' Major, we the Tunisians arrived from Lampedusa, who you describe as illegal immigrants, but mister we inform you we would have never left our country and thrown ourself into the sea if there wasn't in Tunisia this terrible situation, and this is an incontrovertible evidence of our mobilization to solve our human and social particular situation, with the support of european and arab countries as well as of the whole world.
But we were really disappointed, the way France welcomed us doesn't make evidence that this is the country of rights and freedom, and the main evidence is cops' behaviour when they came to 51 Avenue Simon Bolivar and the arrest of 150 people among who some french comrades who rescued us from being cold and hungry, conversely what your press release stated against these french people.
But we don't need their ideas to make our decisions and the main evidence of this is our blessed revolution.
Finally, we ask you to understand our situation and accept our esteem and respect.
Greetings,
Tunisians from Lampedusa in Paris
